Myrtle Beach Dog Walkers

Dog Walkers If you are a dog owner and are planning a vacation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, there is no reason to leave your favorite dog behind. Myrtle Beach is totally family friendly and that includes the four-legged members of your family, too! Accommodations that allow dogs are easy to find and are plentiful. Lodging choices range from beachfront hotels and motels to campgrounds. Once you have determined the best lodging facility, take a look at the many activities you can enjoy with your dog while staying in the Grand Strand.

Early morning and late evening are great times to take a walk or run on the beach with your dog any time of the year. Myrtle Beach rules regarding pets are posted and should be abided. Both Myrtle Beach State Park and Barc Parc Myrtle Beach allow dogs on leash and off leash. Barc Parc even has its own lake for the dogs to splash around in while the owners relax in the shady areas provided.

North-End Dog Park at Grand Strand YMCA provides exercising off-leash in a fenced enclosure. Large and small dogs are separated for safety, and there are plenty of water fountains and shady areas available. Barefoot Landing shopping outlet along the beach is a nice place to window shop with your leashed dog. Pets are not allowed in most of the stores, so it is a good idea to have a second person with you to stay with your pet in case you decide to venture inside.

Mollys Darcy is an Irish Pub that allows pets at the outside tables, so you can have a pint while your dog relaxes by your side. The Dog House South is a popular biker bar that is dog-friendly. Stop by Brusters Real Ice Cream for a sundae for yourself and a free sundae for your dog, complete with crushed bones on top. Your dog will LOVE Bruster's!

New sights and sounds are exciting to your pet. He will enjoy being with you, but the unfamiliar surroundings tend to upset a dogs digestive tract. Be sure to offer plenty of fresh water and feed your dog his normal diet. Leashing, tags (preferably with name and phone number), plus proof of current vaccinations are required. Doggie bags are available everywhere but bring your own cleanup kit, just in case. If you decide to go out and want to leave your dog in your hotel room, it's easy to find a dog walker in Myrtle Beach to care for your dog while you are out.

Myrtle Beach, SC welcomes you and your dog for a memorable vacation year-round.
